Made of a sodium-bentonite-based material, its solid structure turns into a plastic compound on contact with water allowing it to penetrate fine cracks and cavities. Even after numerous wet/dry cycles, Bentoproof black retains its full waterproofing capabilities.
Uses
The building regulations certified Bentoproof black is particularly suited for sealing construction joints. The substrate must be flat and free of loose particles. It is installed between the rebars in the middle of the joint as this will allow swelling pressure to build up (sealing effect). The waterbar must be covered with a minimum of 8 to 10 cm of concrete on all sides
